"I thought I'd give you all a heads up about Frixion Erasable pens. A student showed me hers at Road to California in January. She drew a line, thin but quite black, and then ironed it and the line totally disappeared. It looked like the coolest thing ever!

So I went in search of these pens, which you can get a Staples. I bought the pack that has three colors in it - black, red and blue. Being quite the skeptic about things that are too good to be true, I read the back of the package. In small print it says: "Do not expose to extreme temperatures (<14degrees F;> 140 degrees F). If pen is exposed to temperature that reaches 140 degrees F the ink will be colorless when writing. To restore color, cool to at least 14 degrees F and the ink will again write in color."

Aha! I said to myself. If you iron the ink it's going to be way over 140 degrees so it's going to disappear. So I took some fabric and scribbled on it with all three colors. Then I ironed it and, sure enough, all the scribbles disappeared. But then I put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes and all the lines reappeared. I left it for about a week and a half while I went travelling and today I tried to wash the ink out. It didn't come out with soap and hard scrubbing and not even after I put rubbing alchohol on it. So then I ironed the piece dry and all the lines disappeared and then it went back to the freezer and all the lines reappeared (perhaps just a bit fainter).

This experiment was enough to persuade me that these pens are too good to be true and even sort of creepy - the ink is always there even if you can't see it. I wouldn't use them on any fabric or quilt you really cared about."

So please be aware they seem great until the above was discovered....If you aren't sure what I'm talking about, just google it..They can be found at Stables....

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,

but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have

to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.

And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand

when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words

you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will

teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach

you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach

you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth

could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave

now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, You will simply call her, " Mom ."

Happy Mother’s Day to all no matter what your "Baby's" age!

I did not write this, I read it on my quilting forum and thought how fitting.....
I have lots to get done between now and when we go...I'm off to my home town next week Tuesday, to clean my father's house and freshen up all his quilts and stuff...will probably have both my boys come out and help me and then make a supper for them all...which means, I will be away from home for 2 days....and since my hairdresser is there, I will also do my hair and all the waxing required to be on the beach...ouch sound painful to me...anyhows, I go now so I can get more stuff done around here, maybe even sneak in some sewing time.....Brendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15216329985371924044noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3974998769596492436.post-67170954603723509332010-12-31T10:13:00.000-06:002010-12-31T10:13:03.803-06:00Bonnie Hunters Mystery has been revealedWell the mystery has been revealed.
Well as of Friday 22nd of October 2010 at 11:49pm we finished harvest. Saturday was a beautiful crisp sunny day and all machinery was brought back to the yard. What a sweet sound to hear the final key shut off on the combine and swather. As we all sat on the end gates of our trucks and sipped on our beers we all said this season was a season from hell...we did 7weeks of work in 3weeks...there was no sleeping, and even though there was plenty of meals and lunches made everyone lost weight...there was more break-downs than we care to think about...

Today it is raining, and they are predicting freezing rain/snow for tomorrow...even though there is some field work left, like banding and fertilizing, we just have this big sigh of relief.

I would like to take this time to send out the biggest hug and thanks to my youngest son who came and helped us and basically kept us going as he was swathing ahead of the combine and did the most perfect swathing job any of us have ever seen....for putting up with all the demands that were put on him and the long unexpected hours he put in...it was sooooo greatly appreciated, more than words alone could not express....Thanks bud for everything you did for us....hugs and kissesBrendahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15216329985371924044noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3974998769596492436.post-18822420065283298332010-10-24T10:42:00.001-05:002010-10-24T10:44:05.943-05:00Accu Quilt Giveaway Now until November 5, 2010Wow another giveaway peoples.....whew sooooo many lately...but this one is for the Accuquilt Cut....and 3 dies...sooooo cool, but sheesh try and just pick 3 dies....but I did manage to narrow it down...ok now hurray on over to
